Fourteen year old Georgia Chappell was out with friends in Dover town centre when she was attacked in the play area near the skate park in Pencester Gardens by two younger boys on Monday September 19.
The pair were calling her names and spitting at her before one threw a piece of bark, hitting her in her right eye and leaving her with internal bleeding, excruciating pain and nausea.
Three weeks on from the unprovoked attack Georgia is still partially blind as a result of her injuries.
Police have issued an e-fit picture of Georgia's young attacker, who was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a grey hooded top and had dark brown hair.
They are keen for anyone with information about the assault to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Nicky Steele said: "This is a nasty injury for this young girl and may result in her losing the sight in one eye.
"We would appeal to anyone who may have been in Pencester Gardens to remember back – they may be able to assist us with further information so that we can trace the boy."
Anyone with information is urged to call Kent Police on 01622 690690 quoting reference FY/14941 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
